Vikram Rathod is an Army Special Task Force soldier whose story is titled as ‘Jawaan’. But there is a twist in his story when he hijacks a Mumbai metro train and makes demands from the government. Along with Vikram Rathod, there are 6 girls who help him in this crime. In front of them is Kali Gaikwad, one of the biggest arms dealers in the country who supplies guns to the army soldiers.
Kaali is a businessman and has an old enmity with Vikram Rathore. Vikram Rathod’s son is Azad and Shahrukh Khan is seen in both these characters. Yes, Shahrukh will be seen in a double role in this film. Jawan Movie Review – Star Performance
The characterization in the film may hardly be strong, but the performances of all the actors are unique. Shahrukh Khan once again wins everyone’s heart. In this film, he has played the roles of both father and son. Both are strategic to each other. That means both Azad and Vikram can be nominated for best performance. Shahrukh’s swag is also intact in this film. He presents two different characters, with different body languages on screen very well.
It is very special to see Nayanthara in the role of a special task police officer. Be it her fight sequences with Shahrukh or her romance, she is excellent in both. Along with his acting, his action and fitness abilities are also visible in the film. Nayanthara’s film ‘I’m Here to Stay’ has a strong message. Watching Shahrukh and Deepika is a great experience as always.
Riddhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani do justice to their characters, but there is not much screen space for them in the film. Sanjay Dutt’s entry is surprising while Vijay Sethupathi is an entertaining villain. It is common for villains to do comedy in South films, but very few actors are able to give it justice. Vijay Sethupathi had earlier also played a negative character in Vikram Vedha, but Kaali is something different.

Atlee has produced this film in a unique way. It could not have been possible to present Shahrukh Khan with the spices of the South in a better way. The action sequences are fantastic and some sequences are truly astonishing. Atlee has held this film very well. He has shot the suicide scenes of farmers in a very emotional manner.
Tears well up in your eyes. Important issues are presented in the film in a unique entertaining manner. Anirudh Ravi Chandra composed the music for the film. The music is great, but the songs get a little stale in the middle of the movie.
