This story is about workers working in a coal mine in Raniganj, Kolkata. One day suddenly water starts leaking into the mine. Within no time, the flow of water becomes very fast. The workers working in this situation realize this and immediately try to get out. In this difficult time, even his family members get scared by this news.
Now Jaswant Singh Gill is entering, who is a mining engineer as well as a rescue-trained officer. When no solution to the problem is found, Jaswant Sahab comes up with an idea. He prepares a capsule, through which people trapped in the coal mine are rescued. Does this idea work? Are they able to evacuate all the workers safely? Or does he get himself into it? Mission Raniganj Movie Review – Star Performance
We all respect the thought process of Akshay Kumar, due to which we do a lot of projects and create many job opportunities in the industry. However, it is clear that this is hampering the quality of our projects. After Ram Setu, this is another example of makers losing good stories at the cost of finishing them quickly. It’s like a child saying, “I’ll finish three hours of homework in 30 minutes because I can write faster,” and then not remembering a single word when asked.
You need a special talent to waste Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Kumud Mishra, Jamil Khan, Ravi Kishan and Pavan Malhotra together, and that’s the best talent the director has.
Technical Aspects and Music
Tinnu Suresh Desai’s direction is highly praised. The filmmakers support the story with good direction and they get full support from Akshay and his power-packed performance. Vipul K Rawal’s script is satisfactory. The story of Deepak Kingrani and Poonam Gill is inspiring, emotional and touching. Arif Shaikh’s editing is faulty. Dubbing is off in some scenes and VFX is also not good. Cinematographer Aseem Mishra has done a good job.
When you choose a singer like Satinder Sartaaj and go to B Praak to sing the signature song of your film, it says a lot about the thought process of a music producer. Satinder Kumar is humming the lines of Vishwas! He had all the resources but he refused to use it wisely. None of the pieces click. Sandeep Shirodkar’s BGM is very loud but fails to match the decibels of the green-screen screams.
Advantages and disadvantages of the film
This is an important story, which honors the human spirit that is ready to live and die not just for itself but for others as well. This is the biggest feature of the film. Being set in a race against time, the film spends the first half merely establishing the characters and situations, while the story picks up pace and the excitement builds in the second half.
In the film, more focus has been given to the struggle of Akshay Kumar’s character while less attention has been paid to the struggle of the workers to save themselves. Apart from this, the film also does not focus on the workers and their families which is a bit disappointing.
Talking about VFX, the VFX of the film is very weak due to which not a single visual effect of the rescue mission could be created. The scenes have been shot at different places and the background locations are also different which is clearly understandable. Apart from this, the emotional story has also become loud in many places.
