The Kashmir Files Full Movie Review – Star Performance
Anupam Kher has given a brilliant performance where he emerges as Pushkar Nath Pandit. His Kashmiri accent made it more realistic. I still remember the scene when he came to know that his grandson Krishna was standing in the presidential election and was raising slogans of ‘Azadi’. He sang a Kashmiri song and told Krishna that he was feeling cold.
Pallavi Joshi is a National Award-winning actress who will enthral you with her acting apart from the lead star cast. He has done justice to his character and has successfully showcased his talent.
When Darshan Kumar learns the real reason behind his parents’ death, he wins your hearts with his performance. The actor, carrying the movie on his shoulders in the climactic sequence, stumbles a little bit in his monologue.
Last but not least, we can now completely understand why Mithun Chakraborty was cast in the film. Otherwise, who tells us this sad story without telling much?

Vivek Agnihotri has written and directed The Kashmir Files, having previously made films like The Tashkent Files. His writing style is harsh and clearly reflects the ideologies of Kashmiri Pandits and those who want to live on the other side of the Indian border. The best part of Vivek’s story is that he has shown the role of media and politicians very well and how they twist and turn the events in history.
The dialogues spoken by Anupam Kher are heart-wrenching. The camera work shows the beautiful locations as well as the streets filled with terrorists which depict tragic stories. The production value is top notch and the locations chosen will take you to the Kashmir Valley where you may have never been before. The editing is fine and the narrative seems slow, but Rohit Sharma’s BGM is entertaining and gives you an emotional edge all the time.
