Tiger Nageswara Rao Movie Review – Direction
This film is directed by Vamsi, who has already come with ‘Dongata’ and ‘Kittu Unnadu Jagrata’. Vamsi has tried to present the action drama on a large scale but has made some mistakes in direction. The length of the film irritates the audience at one point. The second half seems unnecessarily drawn out. Songs have been forcibly inserted in the middle of the long story, which irritates the audience.
Technical Aspects
The music of GV Prakash Kumar in the film is a bit weak as well and the songs don’t really have a strong impact which disrupts the flow of the story. The background music also doesn’t do much to enhance the scenes which may disappoint film fans.
Madhi’s cinematography, though good, is not very impressive and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao’s editing leaves room for improvement. The production quality of Abhishek Arts is amazing as every penny spent is reflected on the screen.
Star performance
Ravi Teja has once again shown his complete dedication to the character of Tiger Nageswara Rao. His performance and transformation in his role is highly commendable. However, the story selection falls short. While TNR is shown as a character inspired by real life, it eventually turns into a fiction reminiscent of the liberal hero roles he has played. The first half attempts to trick the audience by introducing a grey shade to the hero, but ultimately feels underdeveloped.
Nupur Sanon and Gayatri Bhardwaj play a special heroine, giving very commendable performances. Renu Desai returns to the screen after a long time in Tiger Nageswara Rao, but her character is dull and limited, failing to make her re-entry memorable. Nassar has given an excellent performance, while Jisshu Sen Gupta follows his routine portrayal of a negative police officer. Unfortunately, a talent like Anupam Kher is completely wasted in the film.
Harish Parady plays the lone villain in the film, but his portrayal lacks the required intensity and power. Murali Sharma makes a fleeting appearance, delivering a satisfactory performance in a brief role. Anukeerthi Vaas, despite appearing in a limited capacity, fails to leave a notable impact on the audience.
